“Do you regret not going to Homecoming?” Loki glanced down from where he lay on the ledge he’d procured in the mesa, to where Zephyr was at work choreographing potential moves for the performance that was scheduled for December.

“Do you regret taking Tony’s limo through the desert all night long?” The demigoddess questioned in return, followed by a laugh.

The Trickster shook his head, “not in the least. Probably the best use that limo has ever had.”

“Besides,” a smirk slipped onto the teen’s lips, “there is always Prom. Even fancier.”

Emerald eyes rolled, “as if your mother didn’t fuss enough when she thought we were going to a less fancy dance.” Though he too wore a slight smirk at the memory of Chloe Nolan straightening his tie, while they awaited Zephyr to finish her preparations.

“It’s senior year though,” she continued, “it’s kind of a requirement in that whole rights of passage thing. And hopefully,” she paused, letting out a rush of air, “no one will steal my cousin away, and Aura can go properly as well.”

“She has been quite, busy, of late,” Loki returned, shifting to a sitting position, a slight frown in place. A small smile came to the demigoddess’s lips as she looked up to where he sat, knowing full well that was the frown of thinking. “This, Winter Solider,” he began anew, “what is he like?”

Zephyr pursed her lips in thought, trying to figure out the best way to explain Bucky to Loki, without raising any potential flags. “He’s...He’s good to Aura,” she finally began with. “I don’t think there is anything he wouldn’t do for her. He’s doing his best to make sure she knows how to take care of herself, in any situation.” She continued to think on what she should say, also knowing full well that honesty was always the best policy, even with, and probably especially with the god before her. She explained the best she could, what she knew, and that despite some lingering trauma, the most dangerous parts had been taken care of. “He loves her,” she finished with a nod, “you can see it when he looks at her. And she...I don’t think I’ve ever seen her look at a guy like she does him, not even your brother, and I thought she had it bad for him,” her sentence punctuated with a laugh. Looking up at the man, Zephyr smiled, “you know, I’m sure if you asked her, she’d introduce the two of you. Would that ease your troubled mind?”

“What makes you think my mind is troubled?” He raised a brow slightly, looking down at her.

Her smile grew, “because I know you.”

“Do you?” Zephyr nodded in return. “What do you know?”

“That your sister is one of the most important beings in your life,” she began, “mine too, just so you know. And if I thought, even for an instant she was in any kind of trouble....” She paused, looking up at him, just watching him waiting...”You came to me when you did for a reason. I refused to agree to what you asked, but you knew I would, didn’t you?”

“I did,” he returned, a slight smirk slipping onto his lips.

“Because you knew Thor would never hurt her, and neither would I.”

“So true, on both parts,” he returned, “at least intentionally where that big oaf is concerned. He does have the tendency to not think before acting, but...Yeah, I knew.”

The demigoddess let out a slight laugh, shaking her head, “you are...So impossible.”
